Thoughts on the Toyota Recall
Posted on Feb 5, 2010 by John Zegers, Director COI for Manufacturing |
Toyota built its reputation and success on reliability. The recent events with Toyota’s accelerator and brake problems magnify the importance of continuous improvement and not just standing on reputation alone. Continuous quality control and process improvement need to be focal points for manufacturers to be competitive and sustainable.
The Center for Innovation (COI) for Manufacturing helps Georgia’s manufacturers connect to the tools they need to improve process control and address inefficiencies. We do some of this through the Lean Six Sigma Certification Program we are supporting at technical colleges across the state. We can also link you to resources that can assist in implementing these principals into your operation.
