As Director of CIME’s Manufacturing Development Center, Carroll collaborates with private and public sector partners to help entrepreneurs start up new companies.

Carroll brings to CIME more than 25 years of industry experience in manufacturing, product development, and sales. Prior to joining CIME, he founded Becon Medical Corporation, developer of the biopsy punch, and Turner Medical Corporation, a leader in the automated external defibrillator field. He also served as CEO of Carolina Medical, Inc., and in technical and management positions with companies including General Electric and Hewlett Packard. Carroll holds a PhD in Allied Health Administration, an MBA, and a BA in Sports Medicine.
